About Us
The Fund's Purpose
The establishment of the Industry Support and Development Fund came in implementation of the government’s economic action priorities program (2021-2023), where Fund Regulation No. (45) of 2022 was issued in accordance with Article (114) of the Jordanian Constitution. The government provided financial allocations worth 30 million dinars annually, with a total of 90 million dinars for the period 2023-2025. The World Bank agreed to provide financing worth $85 million to the Fund’s support project, with the aim of enhancing investments and exports in the industrial sector.
The fund aims to contribute to alleviating the burden of production costs and other costs facing the national industry, which enhances its competitiveness to enter new markets, especially with the return of relative stability to the security conditions in the region. It also seeks to give Jordanian products a competitive advantage in local and global markets, diversify sources of national income, provide job opportunities, alleviate poverty and unemployment, and increase exports and sales, which contributes to raising growth rates in the gross domestic product.
